Ep 15 - We Create the Doors We Want to Open

Your dose of weekend inspiration

Happy Friday podcast familia!

I had a moment this week I wanted to share with you. I was preparing for a podcast interview with a woman I've listened to regularly for over two years. If you would’ve told two-years-ago me who was immobile after knee surgery, chopping vegetables in her small Oakland studio in the trenches of so much emotional and physical healing - that not too long from now, you'll be living in a new town you adore. You'll be more fulfilled creatively and socially than you've ever been. And, sooner than you think the woman you're listening to in your headphones will be on your very own podcast. One you created because it came to you in a dream and you started it simply because you realized that no one gives you permission to be who want to be.

You can one day simply decide you are something and take action each and every day until the imposter syndrome's little voice is no longer relevant. It cannot deny the person you now are, because new beliefs have fed new actions and new actions have fed a new life. And you're no longer waiting to become something. You never had to wait. You always were it, and you always are.

So, this is all to say - if you want to be something, want to do something, want to live a certain way - just take the first step. There are no gatekeepers to unlocking our own potential. We create the doors. We open them, and we decide when to walk through them. And stepping past those thresholds and meeting all the incredible people who are doing the same is a joy I want everyone to experience. 💛

Happy Friday, everybody. Make it a beautiful weekend. Listen to this 20-minute episode when you need to get hyped for your next step and share it with a friend who needs to hear it.

Appreciate you,

Kimberly
